Asia-Pacific Judicial Conference on Climate Change Adjudication: Trends and Impacts

The Supreme Court of Fiji (SCF), in partnership with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the United Nations Environment Programme, cohosted the Asia-Pacific Judicial Conference on Environmental and Climate Change Adjudication (Conference) on 7-8 October 2019, in Nadi, Fiji under the banner of the Asian Judges Network on Environment (AJNE), the unique judicial association working towards strengthening environmental and climate change adjudication.

Plastics to Power™, Conversion of Marine Debris and Non-Recyclable Waste to Power and Clean Water, the PtP Energy System

PtPtm Energy Systems LLC is a Plastics to Power™ Conversion Technology, a barge-mounted or shore-based system to provide wide regional elimination of marine debris, coastal plastic thrash, biomass, municipal non-recyclables, and semi-hazardous waste while producing up to 5 MW power, clean desalinated water, and industrial process heat to shore-side communities. An economic model based on FMCG life cycle costing can readily fund this system, which can be deployed in many locations, especially in the Asian or Oceanic archipelagos.

Vincent Aloysius

Dr. Vincent Aloysius is the Team Lead of the Technical Assistance project: “Promoting Action on Plastic Pollution from Source to Sea in Asia and the Pacific.” This project delivered city action plans and recommendations to shift towards plastic circularity in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The project also provided policy advice by assessing economic instruments in Thailand.
