Nature-Based Solutions for Water Cycle Management in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region Countries

This presentation gave an overview of RECONECT, which aims to contribute to European reference framework on Nature Based Solutions (NBS) for hydro-meteorological risk reduction by demonstrating, referencing, upscaling and exploiting large-scale NBS in rural and natural areas. It also cited lessons and challenges for NBSs in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region.

Julienne Roux focuses on the Global Water Partnership (GWP's) global programmes on the ‘Water – Energy – Food – Ecosystems Nexus’ and youth engagement, in addition to supporting GWP's Regional Water Partnerships in West Africa and Central Africa. She has 15 years of experience working in water resources management and on the interconnections between agriculture and water.​

Distinguished Water Leaders Series: Oyun Sanjaasuren

In this learning event, Dr. Oyun Sanjaasuren presented the global and regional water risks and challenges we face today through 2030 and shared how they can be addressed through partnerships for water resource management at the country, regional, and global levels. She cited the the impact of Global Water Partnership (GWP) efforts from 1996 to 2016 and her own experience in forging water partnerships for water resource management in her own country, Mongolia, as illustrative examples. Dr.
