Sessions Recording: The Economics of Nutrition Security and “Nutrition-Smart” Food Security Investments: Rationale, Approaches and Tools for Development Banks and Governments

[Recording] The session explored how multilateral development banks (MDBs) and governments could invest in nutrition security by making investments in food security and other areas that were “nutrition-smart.” The session showcased tools like the Cost of Inaction, Value for Money, and Investment Cases, which could be leveraged by MDBs and governments for nutrition advocacy and decision-making.

[Recording] The session focused on sharing knowledge and cases of Asian grassland restoration in terms of soil carbon and renewable energy; provided an overview of the carbon farming and trading policy in the region; and built a common understanding among governments, communities, private sectors, and other stakeholders on the opportunities, cost-effectiveness, and multiple contributions toward achieving the regional Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) targets.
