RMI: National Climate Change Policy Framework

The RMI National Climate Change Policy Framework (NCCPF) sets out the Government of RMI’s commitments and responsibilities to address climate change. This policy framework will guide the development of adaptation and energy security measures that respond to the needs of the RMI, and foster an environment in which the RMI can be better prepared to manage current climate variability and future climate projections.

RMI: Wotje Atoll Development Authority Act 2002

This document contains the details of the Act to establish the Wotje Atoll Development Authority and to provide all the powers necessary to plan for the development and implementation of all programs and projects for the social, economic and educational betterment of the people of Wotje Atoll, with responsible and appropriate review by the Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands to ensure fiscal responsibility and consistency with the development policies of the Government of the Republic.

RMI: Pesticides and Toxic Chemical Substances (POPS) Regulations 2004

The purpose of these regulations is to establish a system of control over the importation, distribution, sale, and use of pesticides by persons within the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and further, to restrict the use of twelve of the world's most highly toxic persistent organic pollutants ("POPS"), 9 of are pesticides, one of which is an industrial chemical, and two of which are unintentional chemical by-products, all targeted by the United Nations Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants.
