Saif Anjum

Saif Anjum is the Secretary of Punjab Irrigation Department, Government of Punjab. He is responsible for overseeing and management of the irrigation system, conceptualization, planning and execution of irrigation infrastructure development works, flood protection, and management. Major achievements include rehabilitation of Balloki and Jinnah Barrages and initiation of rehabilitation works on Khanki, Sulemanki, Panjnad, Trimmu Barrages.

Lessons Learned from ‘Type 2’ Adaptation Projects in Central and West Asia

Central and West Asia Department led a panel to present experiences in developing, processing, and implementing ‘Type 2’ adaptation projects.

This webinar covered a range of issues including upstream project programming, climate change modeling, and risk assessments, expertise requirements, government capacity and buy-in, adaptation measures, and impacts and metrics. The panel included representatives of the Government of Punjab, Pakistan, and the World Bank​​​.

Ye Zheng

​​​​​​​Ye is a fourth-year Civil Engineering student and the founder of the McGill Chapter of Student Energy at McGill University. As a future engineer, she aspires to become a global thinker and leader in sustainable development. Ye has been actively involved in research projects, clubs, start-ups that are related to sustainable development. In China, Ye co-founded a social enterprise called PDT Food Depot that is focused on finding ways to utilize surplus food, and is helping a start-up called LOHAS to promote composting projects of kitchen waste in cities.
