The Asia and Pacific region is party to 109 ratified free trade agreements, and with more being negotiated. The rise of mega-regionals suggests that the world trade system is fragmenting to appear more like a jigsaw puzzle than a spaghetti bowl. The time is ripe to seriously consider multilateralization of preferences.

Solid Waste Management in Nepal: Current Status and Policy Recommendations

A solid waste management (SWM) baseline survey was undertaken in 2012 to (i) derive systematic and comprehensive data and information on SWM in Nepal; (ii) compare Nepal’s SWM status with other countries; and (iii) identify challenges and policy recommendations. Results of the survey, which the presentation shares, were subsequently published.
