Epidemiologist and Modelling Expert (Consultant), ADB Profile / Bio Sandip Mandal is a Mathematical Epidemiologist with over 16 years of experience in modelling infectious diseases for policy decisions and strategic planning. Close collaboration has been undertaken with a range of agencies, including the Indian Council of Medical Research (where modelling support for India’s COVID-19 response was led), India’s National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (where the development of a mathematical model to estimate the country’s TB burden was led, contributing to official WHO estimates), the Stop TB Partnership, and WHO at both headquarters and Regional levels.
