Dr. Jacob Creswell is the Head of Innovations and Grants at the Stop TB Partnership in Geneva. With 25 years of experience in TB and HIV, he began his career at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and later worked at the World Health Organization. He currently coordinates the Partnership’s TB REACH initiative, which has provided more than USD 200 million to partners in 56 countries to strengthen tuberculosis detection and treatment outcomes. He also leads the Unitaid-funded START4ALL initiative to expand access to novel point-of-care diagnostics in seven countries, manages diagnostic evaluation trials, and oversees the Partnership’s Digital Technology Hub.

Dr. Creswell serves as a global expert in improving TB detection, including active case finding and digital health. His recent work focuses on evaluating new diagnostic and screening tools—such as artificial intelligence for chest X-rays and cough-based AI—and optimizing their integration into diagnostic algorithms. With more than 130 scientific publications, his contributions have informed multiple WHO guidelines, including those on TB screening, private sector engagement, childhood TB, and the use of artificial intelligence for chest X-ray interpretation.
