Mariano Salto is a Senior Energy Economist for the World Bank with 20 years of experience in the sector. He has worked in over 30 countries across 5 continents, offering expertise in policy, regulation, reforms, financial analysis, energy access, and regional trading. He is currently leading the World Bank energy teams in PNG, Fiji and Tonga. Mariano holds a master's degree in industrial economics from Universidad Carlos III in Madrid and a degree in Economics from Universidad Nacional de Cordoba.
