Peter Baum

Peter Baum is a Senior Energy Specialist at the Asian Development Bank and has been working on PNG energy projects since 2021. Prior to ADB, Peter worked at Aurora Energy Research modelling power markets and systems. In this role, he advised investors and lending banks on major renewable energy projects (M&A, project finance, PPAs) across Europe and provided policy advice to governments on topics incl. coal exits, subsidy scheme design and capacity markets.  

Peter also spent four years at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, working on energy and infrastructure projects in Central Asia as well as North Africa and the Middle East. Peter undertook his undergraduate studies at ETH Zurich (Switzerland) and earned a double master degree in Energy Policy and International Economics at Yale University in the USA.
