Areeporn Asawinpongphan

Dr. Areeporn Asawinpongphan holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the National Institute of Development Administration and a Master’s degree from Southampton University. She specializes in Development Economics, Energy Policy, and Management Consulting. Her career includes ExxonMobil, Banpu Public Company Limited, and McKinsey & Company roles. Currently a Research Fellow in Energy Policy at TDRI, she leads projects on Thailand’s electricity market reform and serves on committees under the Energy Regulatory Commission. She consults globally for Indonesia’s PT PLN and PERTAMINA. Previously at Banpu, she focused on energy research and corporate strategy. Her expertise encompasses strategy, policy, and market reform in the energy sector.
