This report tracks tax revenue collection in 45 economies in Asia and the Pacific and highlights opportunities for revenue bodies to tighten governance, accountability, and data collection to help strengthen their vital tax systems.

Drawing on data from the International Survey on Revenue Administration (ISORA 2023) survey, the report delves into how tax administrations across the region are financed, operated, and perform, and considers factors such as large taxpayer administration. Providing snapshots of each economy featured, it assesses challenges including human capital risk and shows how increasing digitalization can help improve transparency, efficiency, and compliance.
