Jigar is an Energy Specialist at the India Resident Mission of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). He has contributed to India's energy sector for more than 20 years in the government and private sectors.
Jigar holds a specialized post-graduate project management diploma from IIM-Indore and an electrical engineering degree. He has worked with the state electricity department in transmission, distribution, and generation and with the private sectors (Bechtel, L&T Power, etc.) in design, procurement, and project management. His current role and responsibility at ADB operation is to lead the coordination with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Power, and other relevant line ministries to develop implementable policies and programs for the energy sector in the country. He is deeply involved in the project processing and administering of ADB’s energy sector portfolio in India.
