Dr. Byounggun Kim is currently the Director of Strategic Public Procurement Research Division of the Korea Institute of Procurement (KIP). Mr. Kim has been a dedicated researcher with a decade of experience at the KIP, specializing in leveraging public procurement for the advancement of government policies and the enhancement of public services, particularly benefiting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He has been instrumental in shaping innovative procurement policies, with a focus on driving competitiveness and sustainability. He is a recognized authority in evaluating procurement systems and crafting strategic policies to fortify SMEs in the marketplace. Additionally, he actively contributes his expertise as an esteemed member of various government policy advisory groups about Public Procurement.
Dr. Kim obtained his Master of Science and Ph. D degrees in Information Industrial Engineering at Yonsei University in 2007 and 2012, respectively.
