An ex-civil servant with over 30 years of experience in public policy formulation and implementation with focus on public sector management, social protection, public health and economic diplomacy; within that, well-honed skills in institutional development, administration, development planning, development finance processing/negotiation and project/program design and implementation. Remained the focal person in the establishment of Pakistan’s largest social safety net, Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). After the govt. service, has been working as independent consultant with multilateral development institutions like The World Bank and Asian Development Bank mainly as social protection specialist doing institutional assessments, writing operational and technical design documents for social safety nets, strategic planning, program design, implementation, and monitoring. Currently workings TA Team Leader on ADB financed Integrated Social Protection Development Program supporting program implementation, monitoring and reporting.
