Mr. Jeong is a Senior Regional Cooperation Specialist at ADB. He specializes in economic policy, finance, and international cooperation. Recently, he served as the lead director of the Planning and Finance Division at the Korea Ministry of Economy and Finance (MOEF). He supervised and coordinated major economic policies and budget plans.
Mr. Jeong also worked as an economist at the Southeast Asia Regional Department (SERD) in ADB, specializing in regional cooperation and integration. He was responsible for issues related to Singapore and supported economic analyses in various urban sector grant/loan projects for Southeast Asian countries. He contributed to the Asian Development Outlook (ADO) and reviewed country partnership strategies (CPS) for Southeast Asian countries.
Mr. Jeong received his PhD in Economics from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, where he analyzed the effects of fiscal policy and assessed its sustainability. He also holds a Master’s degree in policy studies and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, both from Seoul National University.
