Profile / Bio: 

Dr. Si is the Team Leader for NCD prevention and control program in the Pacific Community (SPC), the intergovernmental organisation that provides technical support for the development in the Pacific region. He is a medical doctor (MBBS) with MPH and PhD from the University of Sydney, Australia. In his current role, he provides leadership and technical oversight of SPC’s NCD program support for 22 Pacific Island countries. Before joining SPC, he worked as Research Fellow in the Boden Institute of Obesity and Menzies Centre for Health Policy at the University of Sydney, NCD Adviser in SPC, Director of Public Health in Nauru Ministry of Health, and Public Heath Physician in the World Vision and Aide Medical International in Asia. He is also Honorary Research Fellow in the University of Sydney and has wide experience in public health in the Asia-Pacific region. He published several peer-reviewed journal articles and presented at the national, regional, and international health conferences.
