Rehana Riyawala is associated with SEWA since 2001. Currently she is the CEO of Grass Root Trading Network for Women (GTNfW), a green livelihood company promoted by SEWA. She was Vice President of SEWA from January, 2015 to February 2024 and former Secretary of SEWA from January 2012 – December 2014. She takes care of GTNfW and SEWA’s operations which include activities that strengthens and provides green and sustainable livelihoods, capacity building, micro finance, social security – including Water, Sanitation and Hygiene etc., building resilience of the poor women members from informal economy suffering from various disasters including climate shocks and market shocks.
