With a background in veterinary medicine, Soawapak Hinjoy graduated with a doctorate in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Currently, she holds the position of Director of the Office of International Cooperation, Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health. Enthusiastic about developing collaborations in public health research on zoonotic diseases, and emerging, and re-emerging infectious diseases under a conceptual One Health framework, she is active both in Thailand and at the international level. Additionally, she serves as the national coordinator of ASEAN Health Cluster 2 and MBDS network, as well as the chief of the Thailand GHSA coordinating unit. In these roles, she focuses on developing effective public health control and prevention strategies with a perspective of global health security.
