As project manager, Tanya has led multi-disciplinary projects at Arcadis since 2011. In 2015-2016, Tanya was seconded as Liaison Officer Water to the Netherlands Embassy in Myanmar. Tanya has lived in Myanmar ever since, started an office for Arcadis in 2016, and led the team, water and environment business development, and a multitude of projects on water resources, flooding, and strategic planning in Myanmar and Viet Nam.
Furthermore, Tanya worked part-time as ‘Shelter Program’ manager for the CSR partnership of Arcadis and UN-Habitat, providing pro-bono support via expert missions to UN-Habitat projects on urbanization and climate adaptation.
Since October 2023, Tanya has worked as a Senior Water Resilience Specialist for ADB. Her focus is on the Water Resilience Trust Fund (WRTF), collaboration with the Netherlands, nature-based solutions, coastal resilience, resilient cities and youth engagement. She holds a B.Sc. in Environmental System Analysis and an M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences, specializing in marine and coastal management at Wageningen University and Research Centre in the Netherlands.
