Profile / Bio:
Khamphet, a Senior Procurement Specialist, has been working with the World Bank Vientiane Office since 2009, to provide procurement support to World Bank-financed projects under the Lao portfolio. Before joining the World Bank, he worked for the MPWT for 20 years, at various levels including as a Project Manager for the ADB Sixth Road Improvement Project.
He had been involved in the preparation of the Lao Public Procurement Law, Instruction of Law on Public Procurement, revised the Standard Harmonized Bidding documents, and others for the procurement reform. Khamphet also conducted procurement assessments and procurement capacity building for the project implementing agencies.
