Firdaus Agung is Director for Marine Conservation and Biodiversity, Directorate General for Marine Spatial and Ocean Management, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries.

He has over 20 years of experience in coastal management and marine conservation. His work experience: Deputy Director for Conservation Use (2013 - 2016), Deputy Director for Conservation Partnership (2016 - 2017), Deputy Director for Convention and Conservation Network (2017 - 2022), and recently as Director for Marine Conservation and Biodiversity (2022-now).

 He has an undergraduate degree in Marine Science from Diponegoro University, a Master of Science in Integrated Coastal Zone Management from Aarhus University and a PhD in Earth and Environmental Science from James Cook University.
