Dr. Guofeng Shen now is an Assistant Professor at Peking University. His research interests and experiences are in sustainable household energy and environment, largely focusing on fates, impacts and controls of hazardous pollutants produced from indoor solid fuel use that is an important indicator of sustainable development. As the principal investigator, Dr. Shen has received funding from the National Natural Science Foundation (NSF), United Nation Foundations, etc.,
He has published > 150 peer-reviewed research papers in international journals including Nature Energy, Nature Communication, Nature Human Behaviors, PNAS, Environmental Science & Technology, Environment International, etc., with the citation >6000 and H index of 46. He serves as the proposal reviewer for many science funding agencies, and manuscript reviewer for many highest-ranked journals, including Nature, Science, Nature Medicine, Nature Communication, Lancet Planetary Health, ES&T, EHP, etc. He was awarded ES&T Super Review Award (2020), Excellence in Review Award (2019), and ES&T Letters Excellence in Review Award (2018).
