, Atmospheric Chemistry at the Paul Scherrer Institute
Profile / Bio:

Dr. Jay Slowik is a senior scientist in the Laboratory of Atmospheric Chemistry at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Switzerland. His research focuses on the atmospheric sources and processes governing air pollution, including the development of novel instrumentation for organic aerosol analysis, aerosol and gas source apportionment, and laboratory investigations of the emissions and aging of real-world sources. Before joining PSI, he received a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Boston College (2006) and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Toronto on the composition and cloud nucleating ability of organic aerosols. Dr. Slowik is a recipient of the Schmauss Award from the Gesellschaft für Aersolforschung e.V. (GAeF).
