Zhao Jianzhi is the Deputy Director of the Department of Atmospheric Ecology at the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment. He holds a PhD degree Environmental Engineering. His primary responsibility revolves around the prevention and control of various forms of pollution in Shanghai, encompassing air pollution, as well as addressing issues related to noise, light, and fossil energy pollution. He plays a crucial role in developing and implementing policies, regulations, and strategies to address the adverse environmental impacts associated with these areas. Specifically for air quality management, he coordinates the development and implementation of Shanghai action plans for cleaner air. In addition, he fosters initiatives and collaborations aimed at preventing and mitigating air pollution across a wide spectrum of sectors, encompassing energy, industry, transportation, construction, agriculture, and daily activities.
