Since April 2020, works as a Head of the Environment and Climate Action Cluster of UNDP in Uzbekistan: responsible for programming UNDP initiatives in areas of Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation, Nature Resource Management (including Biodiversity conservation, Agriculture), Disaster Risk Reduction and the Aral Sea environmental crisis. Prior to this assignment, Bakhadur managed UNDP lead UN Joint Programmes in the Aral Sea region and made substantive inputs in the establishment of the Multi-Partner Human Security Trust Fund for the Aral Sea region. He has also worked as an International Consultant for UNDP HQs (NY) to support the mapping of the UNDP initiatives in Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Bakhadur holds two Master’s degrees in the area of Public Administration and International Commerce from the US and the UK-based Universities.
