This seminar presented a summary of findings from the international expert workshop on Modeling Approach to Economic Corridors held on 16 to 17 May 2013 in Bangkok, Thailand. It featured discussions on the workshop outcomes, which included lessons learned from different subregional programs (European Union, South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation); framework for evaluating alternative investments for economic corridor development; data requirements and specifications for an optimal data resource management system, and; opportunities for applying the framework. The seminar also held a discussion on the current limitations of data availability and examples of publicly available data. The CKAN 2.0 software maintained by the Open Knowledge Foundation, which allows for the management and presentation of data, was used an example.
