Mr. Bidyut Kumar Saha possesses over twenty years of experience in investment and development sectors in Bangladesh. He started his career as senior analyst at Equity Valuation Research and Distribution Limited, a merchant bank. Later he joined IDLC Finance Limited, the largest non-bank financial institution in Bangladesh, and headed corporate finance and investment banking operations. He also headed the risk analysis unit and cash management department at the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited in Bangladesh. Presently, he is working in Asian Development Bank as a senior investment officer at Bangladesh Resident Mission.
Mr. Saha acquired diversified experiences in banking, capital market operations, and development finance. His expertise includes syndications, structured finance, debt and equity investment, valuation, financial advisory, project finance, risk analysis, and cash management. He was one of the pioneers in popularizing syndicated financing for large projects in Bangladesh. He originated, structured, distributed and administered the first securitized bonds in Bangladesh.
Mr. Saha is a graduate in mechanical engineering of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and an MBA with major in finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), of Dhaka University.
