Mr. Mohammed Shoheler Rahman Chowdhury is the Director General of the Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) of Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED), Ministry of Planning. Prior to joining CPTU, he worked in the Economic Relations Division and Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance. He is a national trainer on public procurement who deeply involved with the procurement reform process of Bangladesh since its inception in 2002.
Mr. Chowdhury provides consultancy to the World Bank funded projects of different ministries and Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority, where he worked in all operational, tactical and policy levels of procurement. He is also an adjunct faculty member of the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development and the Bangladesh Institute of Governance and Management for public procurement and public private partnership. He holds a Master of Commerce in Accounting from University of Dhaka and a Master of International Development Studies from GRIPS, Japan. He is a professional MCIPS and CP3P.
