In order to enhance the targeting of social assistance to families with minor children and poor families, increasing the role and responsibility of citizens' self-government bodies in the implementation of social protection measures in terms of sustained growth in real incomes and welfare of the Republic Cabinet of Ministers decides: 

 
1. agree with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, Ministry of Health, the National Public Charity Fund "Mahalla", the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the further improvement of the procedure for appointment and payment of social benefits and material assistance to needy families, providing for: 
preservation of the existing size and timing of the payment of benefits to mothers for child care until the age of two years and financial assistance to low-income families, with increased targeting of social benefits; 
reduction of the maximum age of children taken into account in the appointment of benefits for families with minor children, under 14 years old.
