Knut Oberhagemann

Since joining NHC in 2001, Knut has worked mostly in Bangladesh and India on long-term multidisciplinary studies and in implementing water resource projects. His main focus has been developing riverbank protection solutions for the extensive flooding of the Brahmaputra River in Assam and Bangladesh. There, he has pioneered the use of geosynthetics for riverbank and coastal protection. He enjoys his work at NHC because it provides flexibility, highly qualified people, and the opportunity to pursue my personal professional interests in large-scale international flood protection. Off work, he enjoys scuba diving.
