Manushi Ashok is the Co-founder and Director of Sponge Collaborative, an interdisciplinary strategic planning and design firm that focuses on nature-based solutions, integrated blue-green infrastructure, sustainable mobility, inclusive housing, and vibrant public spaces to help build resilient cities. She is an Architect and Urban Designer who has recently been featured on Forbes magazine’s ‘30 under 30’ young leaders for 2022.
Since 2012 she has actively worked on a wide range of design projects around the world such as Boston, New York City, Singapore, Mumbai, Bangalore, Afghanistan, France, and Croatia. She received her Master’s in Architecture and Urban Design from Pratt Institute, New York City and a Bachelor’s in Architecture from SAP, Anna university in Chennai.
Her expertise scales over Urban Design, Environmental Design, Architecture and Tactical Urbanism/ Installations. She was recently invited to speak at TEDx and has received the ‘Creative Thesis Design Medal Award by A+D magazine’ and shortlisted among the top entries for many other international design competition awards.
