The purpose of this law is to govern and to prepare a framework for, the electric power supply and services throughout the Kingdom of Cambodia. This law covers all activities related to the supply, the provision of services and uses of electricity and other associated activities of power sector. The electricity in this law shall mean the electrical energy or the capacity for the production of electrical energy. The electrical power service in this law shall mean the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and other additional or miscellaneous services related to the above services.
