Jim Anderson is the international senior business development consultant for the Private Sector Operations Department of the Asian Development Bank’s East Asia Regional Department. He is responsible for accelerating the amount of the Bank’s financing to commercially viable private sector projects across infrastructure, agribusiness, financial institutions, and health and education sectors in Mongolia. He identifies prospective new investments and provides input and support throughout the underwriting process as well as for transaction monitoring and administration. His background is in SME lending and microfinance with various international organizations in Mongolia and Central Asia. He is a member of the board of directors of a microfinance organization in Kazakhstan and serves on the investment committees for two European investment funds.
He holds a master’s degree in finance with a concentration in money and banking and a bachelor’s degree in finance.
