Dr. Luo Liangguo is a professor at the Institute of Environmental and Sustainable Development in Agriculture, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). His research interests include the design of agricultural environmental scheme; incentive for promoting cleaner production in agriculture; the evaluation of economic, social, and ecological efficiency of clean technologies applied in agriculture; and the control and ecological restoration of agricultural non-point pollution.
In recent years, his research tasks include, among others, the 13th Five-Year Plan on the National Key Research and Development Program of the People’s Republic of China; the National Natural Scientific Foundation Program; 11th and 12th five-year plans on the National Water Pollution Control and Treatment, Science and Technology Major Project; and Sino–German, Sino-Japan, and Sino-Korean International Cooperation Program.
His main research achievements have been published in domestic and international journals, and several of his policy suggestions were also accepted and adopted by local governments. He has also been invited as article reviewer by academic journals like Journal of Cleaner Production; Science of the Total Environment; Environmental Monitoring and Assessment; Environment, Development and Sustainability; Issues in Agricultural Economy; Journal of Agro-Environmental Sciences; Chinese Journal of Ecology; and Journal of China Agricultural University (Social Sciences Edition).
