Gender mainstreaming in India’s energy projects yields many benefits for women. ADB projects, particularly activities under its Smart Grid Technologies and Implications for Inclusive Development project (TA 7831), motivated women to engage in income earning activities. Aside from helping women increase their incomes, the project also helped increased time for their own well-being, their children’s, and for their other pursuits.
