Access to finance is a huge struggle that impedes the development of small entrepreneurs and microfinance institutions across Asia and the Pacific. Launched in 2010 by ADB, the Microfinance Risk Participation and Guarantee Program encourages international and local banks to increase lending to microfinance institutions.
