Dr. Le Thai Ha (Mrs.), M. Sc., PhD is the Vice Director, National Institute of Occupational and Environmental Health, and Director of National Center for Water Quality Surveillance & In-charge of International Collaboration, NIOEH, MOH, Viet Nam.

Dr. Le Thai Ha is Vice Director of The National Institute of Occupational and Environmental Health (NIOEH), Ministry of Health Vietnam. NIOEH also is one of two (2) Collaborating centers of WHO WPRO in Vietnam ( WHO CCs VTN-03). She is in charge of the WHO CCs as well as the Medical testing and Environmental analyzing department. She had a background in chemistry and Environmental Science. She got a scholarship from Germany Government for studying chemical analysis at the University of Leipzig, Germany in 1998-1999 (for organic compounds), scholarship from Danida for studying at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark in 2008-2009 (for inorganic compounds).

She took the course “Healthy Urban Environment: Concepts, principles and Implementation” at the University of West England in 2012. She has 28 years of working experience in environmental analysis and technologies, especially in chemical substances. She has been particularly active in project formulation and management in Vietnam. She is one of the contributors and reviewers in writing “Developing drinking water quality regulation and standards. General guidances with a special focus on countries with limited resources“ WHO 2018. She is a key person in developing National regulations and setting up a monitoring lab. system for clean water in Vietnam.
