20 years of banking experience includes corporate and product development, P&L leadership, and market expansion. He is familiar with transaction banking operations and is specialising in securities market and technology.
He is active in topics including business models; crypto/digital assets, securities post-trade market
practices, financial market infrastructure, funds, new payments methods, and outsourcing; as well as on ASEAN and emerging markets.
In the market advocacy role, he represents the bank’s expertise in discussions including those in the World Economic Forum Digital ASEAN, ASEAN+3 Bond Market Forum, APEC Asia Pacific Financial Forum, the Association of Global Custodians Asia, ASIFMA, and the DTCC Asia Executive Council.
Boon holds an advanced degree in Computation (Artificial Intelligence) and a professional accountancy qualification. He started his career as a systems analyst and in treasury and working capital.
