Liviana Zorzi has been working as a Programme Officer in the Effective Governance and Peace building Team at UNDP Bangkok Regional Hub since 2014. She provides support to country offices in the Asia Pacific region with providing access to knowledge, building partnerships and promoting regional capacity-building initiatives. She conducts research and coordinates events on civil society, gender, improved and inclusive public service delivery through transparency, accountability, anti-corruption.
She co-authored the UNDP report “A transparent and accountable judiciary to deliver
Justice for All”. Being an international UN Volunteer, Liviana promotes volunteerism as a powerful and cross-cutting means of transformation to build capacities and turn into actions the commitments of the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.
Prior to joining UNDP, she worked in WHO in Uzbekistan, as Communications Specialist, and in the Health Equity Team of EuroHealthNet, a European NGO advocating for combating health inequalities. In Italy she worked and volunteered with several Italian civil society organizations (ACLI, IPSIA, Officina della Decrescita Felice) promoting solidarity economy models for sustainable development, conflict prevention and peacebuilding. Liviana is from Italy and she holds a Master Degree in Public and Social Communication from the University of Bologna.
