Education, as the basic process of the information age, was the key success factor in the digitization of telephone networks and the development of ICT sector in the Republic of Korea. This presentation attempts to place the establishment and growth of State University of New York in the Republic of Korea in the context of both the digital revolution and the country’s plan to make Incheon a hub, not only for telecommunications, transportation, and business, but also for education in the 21st century.
