Profile / Bio: 

Alexander Fowler has been working in the field of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation since completing his undergraduate degree in Disaster Management in 2011. He has worked on resilience building projects in Lao PDR, Bhutan, Maldives, and Sri Lanka with a specific focus on mainstreaming disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation into development planning processes. Alex has recently undertaken formal training in the field of program evaluation and is highly motivated by learning about how to increase the effectiveness of investments in climate adaptation to build resilience, especially at the community level in both rural and urban settings. Most recently, Alex has been supporting the establishment and operationalisation of the Community Resilience Partnership Program (CRPP) of the ADB, providing technical inputs to a range of program documents and knowledge products that are helping to shape the rollout of the program, including a knowledge note on Scaling Up Women-Centered Adaptation through the CRPP’s Gender Window.
