Profile / Bio: 

Tiffany Tran is a Vietnamese-American architect and urban designer who is passionate about inclusive and resilient cities. She approaches urban development from a people-centric lens that integrates urban planning, development economics, and environmental justice. Her policy areas of focus include urban poverty, urban informality, public space, mobility and transportation, and climate resilience. Currently, Tiffany is a long-term consultant for the Asian Development Bank in Jakarta, Indonesia where she leads an international team on program development of the Livable Settlements Investment Project, a potential multi-year loan program that would finance prioritized physical and non-physical investments in Indonesian cities. She also provides advisory services and technical inputs on urban development issues across Indonesia, from slum alleviation to the capital city relocation. Tiffany has eight years of experience partnering with governments, international organizations, and the private sector on the design and implementation of urban development projects. She has worked with UN Habitat Vietnam to research climate resiliency housing for poor communities in the Lower Mekong Basin and with Rockefeller Foundation’s 100 Resilient Cities to provide research, policy analysis, and urban design services to the Accra, Ghana city government. Prior to this, Tiffany worked on urban planning, mobility, and housing projects for low-income communities in the US. Tiffany holds a Master in Public Affairs degree from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Architecture degree with honors from the University of Notre Dame, where she is the inaugural recipient of the Jane Jacobs Award for commitment to community building and urban planning.
