Heeta Lakhani is a climate educator from Mumbai, India. She has a Master's degree in Environmental Studies & Resource Management from TERI University, New Delhi. She has been active at the local as well as international level since the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21) in 2015.
Heeta aims to create change-makers who will take knowledge-based action in order to combat the climate crisis. She is a firm believer in the participation and power of youth in grassroots as well as international processes and policies. Heeta wears multiple hats, serving as Director for Youth Partnerships at March For Science and Coordinator of the Youth Empowerment in Climate Actions Platform (YECAP) at UNDP Asia-Pacific Regional Hub. She also is the current Global Focal Point for YOUNGO, the official youth constituency of the UNFCCC.
