Yong is the president of Hualing Smart Elderly Care Industry Development Center. He has served as a member and deputy director of the party group in the office of the National Working Committee on Aging, vice chairman of the general research group on the strategy of national response to population aging, secretary-general of the National Intelligent Pension Expert Committee, deputy director of the Policy Research Center of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and editor-in-chief of the magazine China Civil Affairs.
He has been engaged in China's social security, aging work and other policy development work for a long time and is responsible for the daily work of the ‘national response to population aging strategy research topic and presided over the writing of the research report and research results report work, to the Party Central Committee, the State Council and relevant ministries. He has participated in the revision of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of the Elderly, put forward the new chapter of ‘livable environment’, and drafted the preliminary draft of the legal provisions of this chapter. He is the first to propose the idea of ‘intelligent pension' and initiated its practical exploration.
