Mitzi Borromeo has over two decades of media and communications experience specializing in conservation, sustainability, and popular education. She began her career in broadcasting on the ABS-CBN News Channel as news anchor, producer, and morning show presenter. She went on to do communications work for WWF–Philippines, WWF International in Switzerland, and the United Nations University Institute of Advanced Studies in Japan. In 2013, she joined Solar News Channel as a news anchor and producer. The channel evolved into CNN Philippines in 2015, where she was a correspondent and news anchor on the evening news program, Newsroom, and executive producer and host of a weekly current affairs program Profiles, and the digital show DigiPinoy. Mitzi is now a multi-media communications consultant. Among her projects is Director and Executive Producer of MIND S-COOL TV, the first science and art educational TV program borne out of the pandemic, and the most updated educational program for free TV in the Philippines.
