Nadia J. Seth is the General Manager of Policy and Planning Division of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA). Highly motivated, results driven research & policy analyst with over 19 years of development experience. A graduate of Kinnaird College, Lahore, Nadia obtained her Master’s degree in Economics from GC University, Lahore, Pakistan. Later to further her academic goals she obtained a degree in Development Management with honors from the University of Turin, Italy in 2010. She joined Small & Medium Enterprise Development Authority (SMEDA), Government of Pakistan in 2002 and is currently heading the Policy & Planning Division.

Nadia J. Seth is a public policy professional with extensive experience of evidence-based policy development and implementation as well as of advocacy and policy compliance from private sector’s perspective. Building upon her education in Development Management and Economics from Italy, she heads the Policy and Planning Division at SMEDA and has an interest in improving public sector policy and those elements that create eco-systems fostering vibrant, competitive, innovative and equitable development across sectors. She has attended courses in Public Policy analysis and SME sector development in Italy, Turkey, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Switzerland, Philippines and USA. She was part of the team for developing Pakistan’s first SME Policy 2007, and is currently heading the exercise of SME Policy revision. In addition, she has a series of research publications to her credit, in areas such as regulatory and policy reforms for SMEs, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, financial inclusion etc. She possesses a deep understanding of the public sector, and having held intensely demanding roles, has steered a number of initiatives for private sector development in Pakistan.
