Tony Westaway

Tony is the CEO of MiBank in Papua New Guinea. He has a proven track record in leading change and delivering transformation in financial institutions, through the innovative use of technology. Tony is also a Director of the Centre of Excellence for Financial Inclusion in PNG, a Director of the PNG Institute of Banking & Business Management, and Chairman of Microfinance Pasifika Network. A strong advocate for financial inclusion, in 2011 Tony initiated the first Bank-led deployment of a mobile wallet in the South Pacific, with 'MiCash'. Tony holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Torrens University Australia, and a Master of Leadership in Development Finance (MA) from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Germany.
