Tom C. Varghese is the Head of Connectivity and Access Policy for Asia Pacific at Facebook. He works on Facebook’s connectivity initiatives to bring more people online to a faster internet covering policy issues involving infrastructure, spectrum, accessibility, online communication and video service regulations.
Prior to joining Facebook he was a Director of Public and Regulatory Affairs for the telecommunications company Telenor Group. Tom has also been a consultant to the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a Research Associate at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He holds a Master degree in Law and a Bachelor degree in Comparative Politics from the University of Bergen, Norway.
