Mr. Hinrichs joined ADB as Natural Resources Economist in 2015. He is designing and implementing loan and technical assistance projects in the agriculture sector of East Asian countries. Developing projects with the application of internet-connected sensors to enhance traceability and access to e-commerce has been a focus of his work.
Prior to joining ADB, Mr. Hinrichs was working at the UN FAO since 2005 where he was primarily responsible for designing and supervising value chain studies for technical and policy papers on the economics of transboundary disease control. Mr. Hinrichs received his Doctoral, Master’s, and Bachelor’s degrees in Agricultural Economics from Humboldt University, Berlin, GER in 2005, 2002, and 1998 respectively
